Quindalup beach

The contrasts in the tones seemed better than the colours of the sunset tonight.

Dolphins at Windmills

Windmills is the name of the surf break just north of Sugarloaf Rock. There were several large groups chasing small fish. Whenever a nice wave appeared they all went for a surf.

Hang Gliding at Yallingup

Some of the Western Soarers were at Yallingup yesterday – conditions were awful for surfing, but apparently good for hang gliding. The sand dunes provide uplift in strong westerly winds.

Causeway in Australind Estuary

Yesterday I had some spare time in Bunbury so I decided to walk out along this causeway that extends out into the Australind Estuary. I have seen it many times in the past but never had the time to investigate. The causeway used to take a pipeline that took waste from the factory you can see on the shore and pipe it over to the sand dunes that were behind me. This no longer happens thank goodness, and the causeway has been re-purposed as a recreational walkway.

Cape Naturaliste

Cape Naturaliste sunsetI was at Cape Naturaliste late this afternoon. Although there was a lot of cloud on the horizon, there were enough breaks in the cloud to give an interesting sky.
