Storm at Sugarloaf

We have had some severe gales lash the coast this week. There were forecasts of a lot of rain (which we got), 125k/hr winds (which never got that strong), and 6-8 mtr swells (more like 2-3). I went to Sugarloaf rocks today and the swell/waves had increased but not to 6m levels.

Nice photo. I can just feel the wind from that massive sea spray.

Hope you did a good job protecting your front lens element 🙂

    • Thanks Mark. The rocks you can see on the left foreground are the edge of a very large outcrop and I was standing in the lee of this outcrop. Even though the wind was around 35 knots, it was almost calm where I was. So I only had to wipe the lens once.
