Cell Floor

This is the floor of one of the cells in the old Police Station/Courthouse and jail in Busselton. The rings on the wall were used to chain up prisoners (convicts). The floor is blocks of wood laid so the end grain shows.

The jail dates from around 1856 and held convicts until around 1876.
