Perth Photoshoot
I was in Perth on Friday so I took advantage of the opportunity and joined the photoshoot Mark Stothard arranged. Afterwards the get together at Camera Solutions was very enjoyable. I had a mixture of shots, but had fun playing with some of the images. We caught this rather colorful group in the Hay St Mall, and they cooperated by posing for us! I knew this shot of a doorway I took earlier would be useful!
Aerials
This was taken at Three Bears – this guy was consistently doing 360 turns mid air. Most impressive.
YAQBRI
Yet Another Quindalup Boat Ramp Image! This must be the most photographed boat ramp in Australia. I was woken up about 1:00am by lightning flashes so I got up and drove down to the boat ramp. There was already a photographer there!
This is a second attempt following some suggestions by Mark Stothard. I reworked it from scratch with the intent of converting to B/W. (I removed the original version because of some errors – shouldn’t rush these things. I never seem to have time to do it right, but always have time to do it twice!
Bushfire at Ellenbrook
It was an overcast day today – a good opportunity to get some landscape shots without the harsh light we normally get in the bright sun. This devastation is as a result of the Margaret River bushfires in November. The Ellenbrook homestead was about the only thing that survived in the area – everything around the homestead was burnt. Already you can see green shoots appearing. It is remarkable how quickly nature responds to these events.
