Yallingup -birthplace of surfing in WA

I mentioned when I made the original post that I would post a shot of the statue later. I finally got a shot without lots of people on the frame. He has been placed where he is looking out across the reef and the main break, but he is back amongst the Melaleuca trees. In the 50’s and early 60’s surfers used to come down from Perth and sleep in hammocks strung between the Melaleuca trees.
