Torpedo Rocks

Last night I saw the clouds hanging around over the Smith’s Beach-Yallingup area. When I got to Torpedo Rocks this interesting cloud pattern was in a good place to photograph with Torpedo Rocks adding interest to the shot.

  1. The colour is a bit wild for me Ian.

  2. Hi Merv. Sorry to take so long to approve your comment, but I have been up in Perth.

Thanks for the comment – now I look at it again I can agree with you.

I had a look at the originals and I am going to reprocess the image – the hot area above the sun (which was below the horizon) caused some difficulties when I was processing it, and I was in a hurry to go to Perth. I can see why I did it that way, but I will see if I can improve it.

However it was a very vivid sky – people everywhere were taking out their cameras (flashes going off everywhere!).

    Regards
    Ian

  3. It’s all in the eye of the beholder Ian, but this one is a little weird IMHO.

We all do images and look back after a while and and say , “what was I thinking ” 🙂

    • A luminosity mask (and a bit more time) saved the day – I hope.

  4. Ian .. funny things happen on your blog.

The image should open in a separate window by itself when we click on it. Instead it opens on your blog.
The comments are ascending instead of descending, I’ve never seen that before.

Why ….. I have no idea.

    • Thanks – I’ll look into both those things.
